Gateway One GZ7108

If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard and mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless keyboard and mouse.

  1. Ensure that the keyboard or mouse is 8-inches from the receiver, in this case your Gateway computer. Avoid placing the cordless devices on metallic surfaces.
  2. Remove the batteries and then reinsert the batteries into the keyboard and mouse, making sure that the battery polarities are correct.
  3. Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge or try replacing them. Dead or marginal batteries are the most common reason for wireless device issues.
  4. Try the manual connect procedure.

Manual connect procedure:

  1. Press and release the Connect button on the keyboard or mouse.
  2. Within 30 seconds, the keyboard or mouse should be active.

NOTE: The Gateway One GZ7108 doesn't require any special driver for the wireless keyboard or mouse. To verify all of your basic drivers are installed, go to the Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, and then select Device Manager. Verify that no devices are listed with a yellow triangle indicating that a driver is missing.
